Who takes care of your broken heart?

My heart has already been broken thrice – along the very same fault line. I definitely know how it feels to get hurt. I am very much familiar with being used. I am certain of the word fooled. I know the very feeling of being betrayed.

Hurt, used, fooled, betrayed. These things define brokenness. My disobedience to the Lord brought me these things. But the Bible says that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). With this verse in mind, I have allowed God to be the mender of my broken heart. In His presence, my brokenness is forgotten. I am reminded that our feelings come and go but God’s perfect love for us lasts throughout eternity. He has indeed spared me thrice. My heart is now steadfast knowing that God’s timing is perfect. It pays to wait on Him.

Now, who takes care of your broken heart?
