Prayer Poem (No. 25) *Inspired by Psalms 36

Your love and faithfulness reach the skies
This truth is made known to the wise
Fair are Your righteousness and justice
All find refuge in the shadow of Your wings
Abundance in Your house is feasted upon
Found is a river of delights to drink on
With You alone is the fountain of life
And in Your noble light we see the light
Your mercy dwells in the upright in heart
In them there’s no place for the dark
The proud and the wicked will never win
The righteous are the triumphant from within

You’re my Lord, my God, my King
Apart from You I have no good thing
I praise Your counsel and instructions
I’m secured and will not be shaken
You’ve assigned my portion and my cup
Delighted that they’re more than enough
The path of blessed life is with You
And songs of joy I can sing to
I take refuge in You and I’m safe
For You won’t abandon me to the grave
Eternal pleasures are at Your hand
And hope where my future stands
